In memory of the Magic Place, lost to fire on 25th September 2018.

On that night a fire raged through the forests surrounding our home in the mountains east of Pisa in Italy. Fanned by strong winds the flames destroyed pine forests, olive groves and some homes. The following morning we returned to find our Magic Place (known locally as Tre Pini), a clearing in the forest to the north of our land, with beautiful pine trees, rocks and mysterious stone sculptures, devastated by the fire, a heartbreaking sight.
